  • Improv!

I resumed improv comedy classes at The Peoples Improv Theater.  It has been a year since taking classes.  I completed levels 0 - 3 and have been waiting for a weekend class to pop up since completing level 3.

This has been the first level 4 on a weekend that has been available.  The class was very fun and I have three performances in April.  I was a little rusty, but hopefully it all comes back to me during the next class or two.

  • This is another post I dig. I was recently wondering about being a comedian, and how would I go about it. You gave me this idea. Thanks. What I would like to know is do they treat you how to go about it, like tricks of the trade? Is it as hard as I would imagine? Or would it be easier if you were a writer?

  • I read some more of your posts. I find you very interesting. I like the fact that you are into other things that the typical male aren't into (at leeast the ones I know personally).

How's your foot doing? I hope you feel better. I could imagine how much it really sucks right now. Is this your first injury in your kind of art?

And uhm, good goals for 2008.

  • @Pennington_Hall - To learn how to become a comedian (whether that be stand-up, sketch artist, or improv) there are schools that offer classes.  The best schools are located in LA, NYC, and Chicago.  I'm not sure where you live, but I live in NYC and would be more than happy to give you a list of reputable schools there, otherwise it will just require you to do some google searching.  There are also books available to help learn the process but nothing beats doing the real thing
